A cabinet can enhance the look of a bathroom, and it can also add much needed storage space to it. Yes, bathrooms do need a lot of storage space. You need to be able to store shampoo, soap, and other items somewhere in the room. Not every room has a lot of storage space in it without cabinets.
If your existing cabinets are structurally sound, there is really no need to go through the cost and spend the time tearing out, ordering and replacing cabinet boxes that are in great shape. What needs replacing are the cabinet doors, drawer fronts and cabinet hardware. These three components are what make up the style of the cabinets and provide the appearance that makes a kitchen design come together.
Kitchens with a focus on the sink, stove and refrigerator have been the norm for many decades. Cabinets in the kitchen were used for storage, but decorative elements such as color and trim were also taken into account. Small kitchens in decades past may also have included a small breakfast nook for quick family meals. The room was typically closed off from other rooms mostly due to a lack of kitchen ventilation suitable for use with cooking appliances.
